Maintaining 'Acting Higher Grade' for Civil Infrastructure Workers - QLD Rail prior to Christmas last year gave instructions to stop the payment of people performing ‘Acting Higher Grade’ duties.

The RTBU was closely involved in the process of introducing new Progression Principals as part of QLD Rail’s Career and Development project for both CI and ET streams in Network.
Update - Notice of Dispute on QRN Infrastructure Changes - The biggest issue no doubt is the fundamental argument about clause 54.2 in the Trackside Systems Enterprise Agreement 2010.
Update - Notice of Dispute on QRN Infrastructure Changes - As a result of Your Union issuing a Notice of Dispute around a serious lack of consultation with Your Union and the workforce about major roster and structural changes in infrastructure, QRN were quick to facilitate a meeting this morning.
Notice of Dispute: Major Roster & Structural Changes - QRN managements attempt to bypass the consultation process set out in the enterprise agreements by starting a round of workplace meetings mid last week at which information packs were distributed and major roster changes, some outside the scope of some enterprise agreements were handed out, was a clear indication of its lack of commitment to the consultation process and this has been met with major opposition in the workplace as well as swift lodging of a dispute by Your Union.
RTBU achieves employment security - In the last circular we advised you that your Union had issued QRN with several dispute notices over proposed restructure changes.
Asbestos in signal points, boom gates & masts - The RTBU has been alerted to the fact that asbestos has been detected around the State.
