Aurizon Announces Corporate Health Deal with BUPA

4 April 2013

Your Union has had calls today from members advising that Aurizon has signed a corporate health plan with BUPA. This is of some surprise, given the long relationship many Aurizon members have with the rtHealth fund, the preferred health fund of the RTBU. The rtHealth fund is a not-for-profit fund, owned by its members, which goes to great lengths to service members in across Queensland with dedicated account managers located in metropolitan and regional areas. BUPA, is a multinational company that returns its profits to its global owners.

The RTBU is a proud partner with the rtHealth fund and has negotiated an exclusive health plan to provide excellent health cover to RTBU members and their families, plus, valuable additional benefits that are only available to you as a RTBU member.

The RTBU rtHealth plan offers members:

5% discount off the price of your health cover, saving some members up to a few hundred dollars a year!
An immediate waiver for new members of all 2, 3 and 6-month waiting periods, so you can start using your cover straight away.
$150 petrol or grocery voucher for all new members, to welcome you on board.

RTBU chose the rtHealth fund as its exclusive health fund partner because of the fund's transport industry heritage rtHealth was started by transport industry workers more than 125 years ago, and they've been looking after workers and their families as a not-for-profit fund ever since. Plus, its covers are consistently recognised as being some of the best value available from any health fund in the country.

The RTBU has done the legwork for you, and rtHealth fund is our choice as a health fund partner for members. Support your industry health fund and the RTBU's own health plan.
RTBU is a key partner for rtHealth fund, so our members can call a dedicated RTBU member hotline for a personal consultation or to arrange for an rtHealth fund consultant to visit you and your workmates at work.
