2014 RTBU Qld Branch Elections

The nominations for all RTBU elected position have now been received and approved as valid by the Australian Electoral Commission. There are a number of positions where there were more than one nomination and therefore elections will occur.

Whilst there are a whole host of elections listed below, I am sure members will be pleased to learn that in most cases there will only be 2 or 3 ballot papers for the State Branch positions. In fact, many members will only receive ballot papers for the election of one position in the Queensland State elections, that being the position of Branch Secretary, for which all financial members get a vote.

I have no interest, and would consider it highly inappropriate, to express a view in this correspondence on who to vote for in any of the below listed elections. However, in the interests of democracy within this Union, I strongly encourage members to examine the ballot papers you receive and have your say by casting a vote.

Please note that the order of candidates (click link below) is based on the order in which they will appear on your ballot papers following a draw conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission.

It should also be noted that most of the elections pertaining to members in the Tram and Bus Division will occur at workplace ballots.

Unity is Strength
