Late Pay Day Dispute

As you will be aware, Aurizon decided that members would be paid late for the pay period ending 28 June 2015. The RTBU did not consider this to be appropriate and began a disputes settling procedure with Aurizon to address the concern raised by our members.

The matter has now been resolved in the following manner:

If any member is likely to incur late fees because of a financial commitment that they are required to meet on their usual pay-day they are to make contact with Andrew Walker on Andrew.j.walker@aurizon.com.au and advise that this is the case along with the amount of the financial commitment.
Aurizon will then arrange for a cash advance in the amount that is required to meet this commitment and this amount will then be deducted from your pay, which will be paid by no later than 2 July.

If any member suffers a financial detriment (in the form of a late fee or penalty interest) as a result of a late payment, they may present the evidence of their detriment to Aurizon to be considered for a refund of that fee.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Delegate or Organiser.
