RTBU and AFULE Queensland Rail Traincrew Agreement Update


Your Unions have been holding meetings throughout the Protected Industrial Action ballot with both Queensland Rail and the Government stockholders.

The result has been what your Unions believe will deliver the outcome our members requested through the survey and the numerous meetings prior to the Protected Industrial Action Ballot.

The key elements are:
  • 3% per annum wage increase back dated to 1st September 2016;
  • 4 year term;
  • Leisure periods to be 9 days in a 4 week cycle for all Traincrew to be implemented before 1 February 2017;
  • Compulsory Long week end for all Regional Rosters every 4 week cycle;
  • Meal breaks to be 2 x 30 minutes process for suburban operations to be implemented before 1 April 2017;
  • 30 minute meals for Track machine and Locomotive workings;
  • 50% Full Flat Rate Payment for all public holidays other than Labour Day (no Change); and
  • Improvements to Master Roster development.

Over the coming weeks your Union will be finalising the drafting process with Queensland Rail and joint Unions weekly updates will be sent on the progress.
